Mantones, Mantoncillos

Pañoletas.

Mantones are large square shawls, which are folded over to create a double-sided triangle. Mantones are also
known as Manila Silk Shawls as they are originally from Manila, Philippines (a former Spanish colony).
Exclusively made of silk and embroidered by hand.

Mantoncillos are triangle cut shawls with fringes on both sides. Mantoncillos are smaller than Mantones and
normally made of Poliester with rayon fringes. The fringes are interwoven by hand to avoid tangling.

Pañoletas are small shawls, also with fringes on both sides and normally they are worn hanging from the
shoulders or crossways.
